The Global Conference on Internet of Things (GCIoT) is the first conference of its kind to be held in the MENA region. This year’s theme of the conference is “Smart Cities and Smart Logistics” with a spotlight on the currently occurring technological evolution that focuses on the development and deployment of “smart” technologies, operating principles, and policies.

The conference program includes the finals of the Egypt IoT Challenge 2017, a nationwide program for senior university students, startups, small and medium businesses that have innovative ideas and solutions in the area of Internet of Things (IoT) and related fields. After extensive assessment, the best proposals are selected for the conference, which includes demonstrations of the developed prototypes of Smart Cities and Smart Logistics solutions, that are contributing to how IoT can reshape the world and overcome the challenges we face, so that all individuals can participate in and enjoy life to the fullest.
