Biography

Eric Tobias serves as the CEO of FHOOSH, the high-performance cybersecurity software company. With more than 35 years of semiconductor and software industry experience, Tobias is a proven entrepreneur who builds and leads teams that create novel technology approaches to solve real customer business issues. He co-founded FHOOSH to manage the twin challenges of speeding and securing data from the endpoint/edge to the cloud. Tobias has also co-founded and headed a string of successful start-ups, including QThink (integrated circuit design services), Concerto Networks (franchised business technology solutions for SMBs), SoiraCam (human VisionSphere wearables) and Pyramid Peak Ventures (financial engineering). Additionally, he serves as an advisor to several San Diego-area technology companies and is past chairman of integrated circuit design and embedded software firm Encore Semi.

Tobias has a strong background in software development and implementation, semiconductor design and manufacturing and team management. He is an inventor listed on two US patents and 17 patents pending, in the areas of advanced semiconductor manufacturing, secure data-mapping and high-speed data deconstruction, obfuscation and transmission. In addition to his work with startups, Tobias has held engineering and leadership positions with Amdahl, Applied Micro Circuits (where he was Semiconductor Foundry Director) and Cadence Design Systems (where he held senior positions in the Silicon Technology Services Group and in Business Development for North America, Asia and Europe). Tobias earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley and a M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Santa Clara University.
