John Pavon

John Pavon is President and Founder of Pavon Manufacturing Group with a specialty in armor and advanced protection systems.  Pavon works in collaboration with government and defense contractors throughout the US such as Ansys Corporation.  Pavon started as a machinist at Grumman Aerospace Corporation and worked himself up to Tool Designer, and Design Engineer. In 2011 he received two patents from the UPTO for devices that protect vehicles from IEDs and landmines.  

Pavon has been an instructor at Vaughn College in the Catia V5 Prismatic Machining Workbench. He is a member of the Association of the United States Army, the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, the National Defense Industrial Association, and is a Founding Member of the International Ballistics Society.

Pavon is a Vaughn College graduate in Mechanical Engineering Technology.
