Must-See Sessions at SXSW Interactive 2018

Attending SXSW is an experience no matter who you are, but for a young entrepreneur in the frontier tech space, it can be a total whirlwind of opportunity and reward. Several investors and innovators attend SXSW Interactive annually to find the best in cutting-edge technology; the nine-day stretch of events can be an excellent place to find seed money for your company, connections to pitch your company’s technology, and even great talent to add to your team.

With so many incredible sessions, parties, meetings, and networking opportunities, it can be difficult to navigate this world-renowned conference. Read on for our list of sessions at this year’s SXSW Interactive that you shouldn’t miss if you’re planning to attend.

IEEE Tech For Humanity Series at SXSW Interactive 2018

For the past several years, IEEE has been hosting sessions and meetups at South by Southwest Interactive (SXSW) as part of a greater IEEE Tech for Humanity Series. This year, there will be eighteen (18) sessions from March 9-18, all focused on different areas of technology and innovation. Some of our favorites from this year’s lineup include:

Keynote: The Endless Impossibilities of Quantum Computing
Speaker: whurley

William Hurley aka “whurley” will be delivering the keynote at the IEEE Tech for Humanity Series this year, where he will discuss how the emerging field of quantum computing will forever change the computing landscape and potentially shift the balance of international power.

 

 

 

Meetup: IEEE Women In Tech

Featured annually as a part of the IEEE Tech For Humanity Series, the Women in Tech Meetup provides a space for innovative and entrepreneurial-minded women to connect and discuss important issues in the frontier tech world, and potentially network and find new career opportunities.

 

Meetup: IEEE Young Professionals

Another annual meetup in the IEEE Tech For Humanity series, this event offers young engineers and entrepreneurs a networking and connection opportunity they won’t want to miss. This event also offers an opportunity to learn more about the IEEE Young Professionals organization and how to get involved.
