AUTM advocates and supports the full spectrum of members’ work – from corporate engagement to intellectual property protection – empowering dynamic, forward-leading professional practices and advancing current and future generations of leaders in the field of technology transfer.

AUTM Professional Development Senior Director Barbara Gunderson said, “AUTM exists to support and advance technology transfer activities worldwide. One of the pillars of the organization is a commitment to professional development through the delivery of training programs that are relevant and impactful. We strive to design training that tech transfer professionals can easily access and that provide real-world solutions to current issues.

The partnership with IEEE will enable AUTM to reach a broader audience. The course we are offering details the basics of technology transfer and the importance of collaboration between researchers and the tech transfer practitioners. We believe improving understanding will help to accelerate the process of translation of research to the market and making a better world.
