Ali Velshi talks about how contests have helped drive innovation and what XPrize is all about. Outsourcing a solution to a problem and these contests has been around for a very long time. Technology has made it a lot easier for people to solve problems despite their educational background or where they come from. These incentivized competitions exist in order to encourage technological development and award those who have found a solution to a problem.
