The members of the Organizing Committee are very happy to welcome you to the 8^th International Conference on Power Electronics, Drives and Energy Systems (PEDES) to be held at Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Chennai, Tamilnadu, India between 18-21 December 2018. It is a great opportunity to get together and share ideas and knowledge among the experts from the industries, researchers and academics. Several current and upcoming frontier technologies, innovative solutions, research results will be presented during the conference. Renowned academic and industrial experts will deliver the plenary and keynote talks.

The three days of the conference are themed towards Electric Vehicles on 19^th December, Renewable Power on 20^th December and Industrial Drives on 21^st December. Keynote Talks, Industry Sessions and Special Sessions are planned on all the three days of the conference focusing on the respective theme areas, in addition to, the tutorials sessions from the leading experts from academics and industries planned for 18^th December.
