Cyiza Augustin

Cyiza Augustin is the CEO and Co-founder of 1000 Hills Honey Enterprise (1000HHE). 1000HHE’s mission is to process and add value to honey while improving the quality of life for all those involved. The business model is based on increasing the value of each harvest while creating jobs in the communities in the villages in the Western province, Rusizi District, Rwanda.

Augustin currently resides in Rwanda and has recently graduated from the University of Rwanda with a bachelor’s in Food Science and Technology. Augustin has taken on many roles such as:

• Organizer Of The Global Leadership Summit – This summit is a two-day, world-class experience broadcast every August LIVE in HD to hundreds of satellite locations in North America. In the months that follow, the Summit takes place at an additional 900+ sites in 135 countries.
• President of the Red Cross Youth Section – A section of the Red Cross dedicated to giving youths the opportunity to be an impact in the medical field.
• IEEE Sight 2019 Ambassador – A global network of IEEE volunteers partnering with communities & local organizations to leverage technology for sustainable development

He has many received awards including the IEEE PES Power Africa award. He is also a member of the 2019 IEEEXTREME R8 Committee and an IEEE Day 2019 Volunteer. Cyzia is a Young Professional Liaison on the 2020 IEEE Entrepreneurship Steering Committee.

Among other things, Cyiza Augustin is a fashion designer, a master of ceremony, and an avid event planner. Outside of the office, Augustin enjoys music, swimming, and playing tennis.

Cyiza is a Global Public Entrepreneurial Policy Liaison on the 2021 IEEE Entrepreneurship Steering Committee.
