Biography
Gary Fogel is Chief Executive Officer of Natural Selection, Inc. in San Diego, applying machine learning and computational intelligence approaches broadly to problems in industry, medicine, and defense. He has also been associated with several other start-ups in the San Diego area. Gary holds a B.A. in biology from U.C. Santa Cruz, and a Ph.D. in biology from U.C. Los Angeles. His IEEE credits include being an IEEE Fellow, prior and current service as VP conferences and on the administrative committee for the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society. He is an IEEE N3XT Stars Judge. Gary also enjoys model aviation, having set several world records for aeromodels of various types.
