Marios Antoniou

Marios has been a speaker in industry and entrepreneurship conferences. Marios is interested in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Consumer Behavior Analysis, Cloud, 5G, and IoT industrial applications.

Marios has been involved in industry engagement and entrepreneurship activities in Europe, Middle East, and Africa. He has been a mentor and a judge in entrepreneurship events. Marios is the past chair of the IEEE Region 8 Action for Industry subcommittee, has been involved in IEEE Region 8 entrepreneurship initiative and has collaborated with YPs, WIE, Professional and Educational Activities, and Student Activities. He has received the IEEE MGA Achievement Award.

Marios has more than 24 years’ experience in ICT. He began his career as a software engineer at Cisco Systems in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, after receiving a BSEE from UCSB in Santa Barbara and an MSEE from Northeastern University in Boston.

Marios has been working at Cyprus Telecommunication Authority (CYTA). for more than 20 years and has received an MBA degree from CIIM in Cyprus. He has been involved and led several projects in the areas of product and project management as well as business processes development and management.

Marios is a Global Public Entrepreneurial Policy Liaison on the 2021 IEEE Entrepreneurship Steering Committee.
