Biography
Nishita Deka earned a Ph.D. in electrical engineering and computer sciences at the University of California, Berkeley. She has a B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Southern California. At Berkeley, she focused on the design and fabrication of nanoscale devices for MEMS and sensing applications.
She co-founded Sonera Magnetics to commercialize a novel magnetic sensing technology for high-performance, non-invasive neural interfaces to enable the next generation of computing, in which humans and technology are more intimately connected.
