Omar Zahr

Omar Zahr joined TandemLaunch to put great inventions in the hands of consumers. As Director of Technology at the foundry, he acts as the interface between TandemLaunch, and its global network of universities and researchers, while helping incoming aspiring founders converge on their ventures.

Omar also chairs the iMatSci Innovator’s Showcase at the Materials Research Society, which helps connect founders of materials science startups with industry and investors. Before joining TandemLaunch, Omar was a materials scientist researching how we can use viruses to assemble electronic and optical components. While TandemLaunch may seem a world away from that life, he still gets to work on some of the most impactful problems and cutting-edge technologies on the planet.
