Samar Hamdy

Samar Hamdy is a Co-Founder and Chief Business Officer at DevisionX.

Samar uses her engineering background and experience in business development, marketing, and managing technology & innovation to serve her vision – Enabling technologies for a better world.

DevisionX enables manufacturing experts to build AI-Vision Solutions for their daily challenges in Zero Code & Seamless process. Her deep tech startup is currently working on building a No-Code Platform that automates Machine Learning in a seamless process with the goal of democratizing AI in the manufacturing sector. She wants to remove the barriers and complexities of using AI and enable it for non-techies in different sizes of businesses by making it easy, like using apps on smartphones.

Hamdy is applying her vision – Enabling technologies for a better world – not only through her startup but also through professional and community activities. As a part of the IEEE Community in Egypt, she participated in establishing an IEEE student branch at her university in 2009. She volunteered for IEEE Activities such as Egyptian Engineering Day (EED) and the Made In Egypt Competition (MIE) for 10+ years.

She is a mentor for the enpact – Tourism Recovery Programme. She supports startups in marketing, business development, and getting benefits from technology in their solutions. As a female entrepreneur, she participated as an expert in Henkel dx Xathon 2021- Berlin, supporting female founders in B2B marketing and AI & ML applications.

Recently she was invited to participate in an initiative – the Workforce Egypt Project – supported by the USAID & Egyptian Ministry Of Education in collaboration with the private sector to upgrade the technical education in Egypt and prepare Egyptian students for skilled jobs in the private sector. Samar was a part of the private sector responsible for identifying tasks, building competencies, and developing assessment materials for software development and AI specializations.

Samar received her Bachelor of Electronics Engineering from Menoufia University in 2012, a Diploma in Marketing from the Regional IT Institute (RITI) in 2015, and finished MicroMaster Program in Managing Technology & Innovation at RWTH Aachen University in 2021.

Samar Hamdy is the 2022-2024 Women Entrepreneurs Core Team Lead on the 2024 IEEE Entrepreneurship Steering Committee.
