Youth Endeavours for Social Innovation using Sustainable Technology (YESIST12)

To unify social responsibility and ethics in young minds through activities and to encourage service-oriented engineering practice, YESIST 12 has started. An international talent show, IEEE YESIST12 (YOUTH ENDEAVOURS FOR SOCIAL INNOVATION USING SUSTAINABLE TECHNOLOGY) is a platform for students and young professionals to showcase their fresh innovative ideas to find the key to humanitarian and social issues directly affecting communities around them. YESIST12 was started with a motive to unify social responsibility and ethics in young minds through project-based activities and to encourage service-oriented engineering practices.

 

JUNIOR EINSTEIN

Junior Einstein Track acts as a catalyst for innovation and provides a transformative opportunity to broaden the horizon of knowledge among young curious minds. This initiative aims to empower the next generation innovators, nurture their ideas, and increase their thirst for finding solutions to various social issues. This event makes an effort to harness creative submissions and innovative spirit towards scientific and technological ideas/innovations from school students aged 12 to 17 and to compete in one of the foremost project competitions in the global arena.

 

INNOVATION CHALLENGE

Innovation Challenge encourages participants to come up with innovative ideas for social and humanitarian issues. YESIST12 acts as a platform to bridge the gap between the engineers and visionaries to contribute to society with innovation.

This exceptional platform functions in two stages. The preliminary stage is conducted in various countries across institutions and the team that tops the round wins a chance to compete globally to address humanitarian and social issues like poverty, famine, special needs, women safety, healthcare, disaster management, and many more.

 

 

 

 

MAKER FAIR

MakerFair is a unique platform with opportunities for innovators, makers, and creators to showcase their marvelous products to the international community.

In 2021, MakerFair Track aims to achieve maximum UN sustainable development goals which can be helpful to solve global problems of recent times.

Teams with enthusiasm and determination of inventing and showcasing their innovations from ideation to commercialization are invited to register for this event.

 

 

 

WePOWER

The World Bank recently started the “South Asia Gender and Energy” (SAGE) initiative with a plan to establish a “Women in Power Sector Network in South Asia (WePOWER)” to promote women engineers and practitioners in the energy and power sector and bring normative change regarding women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education.

WePOWER Track was introduced in 2019 to promote and encourage girls from the electrical and power and energy background to continue their education & / career in this field. The track witnessed participation from 8 countries since the start in 2019. In 2020, several online events were conducted including webinars, panel discussions, and a 6-days international boot camp on “Energy Modelling in Industry”; with over 300 participants from 30+ countries.

 

 

SPECIAL TRACK

Special Track aims at bringing out innovative solutions to solve the issues of mankind, on a global scale. It is a recently added track in YESIST12 during its 2020 edition and focused on health and disaster management. In 2021, Special Track targets on providing solutions to more challenges faced by every individual on the planet. Novel ideas, creative proposals with interesting presentations will be rewarded and appreciated.
