Biography

Flavia started volunteering for IEEE back in 2013 as part of her university’s student branch. Since then, she’s been part of the IEEE Young Professionals team, first joining the Region 8 YP team, then going on to serve as the MGA YP Representative for Regions 7-10, IEEE YP Vice-Chair for Communications, and the team’s Chair in 2019-2020. She’s also been part of the IEEE European Public Policy Committee, focusing on bringing technologists and policymakers together.

Outside IEEE, Flavia is completing her degree in InfoSec at Stockholm University, Sweden, having a keen interest in both smart grid cyber-physical security and digital forensics. She previously studied at the University of Southampton, UK, where she focused on digital innovation and the impact of new ICTs on society.

Flavia is an Affinity Groups: WiE & YPs Liaison on the 2021 IEEE Entrepreneurship Steering Committee.
