Magnotherm uses the compelling properties of magnetocaloric materials to create a cooling cycle similar to the traditional compressor-based Carnot cycle for refrigeration.
The result is a different solid-state approach to refrigeration that forgoes hazardous and atmosphere-damaging refrigerant gases.
Spun out of the Technical University of Darmstadt and the work of Oliver Gutfleisch, this venture is ready to take on the ancient and enormous refrigeration market with a diverse team of people.
