Rawan El Jamal
Biography
Rawan El Jamal is a computer engineer, strategy consultant, and entrepreneurship enthusiast who believes in technology and business for social impact.
She worked with the Boston Consulting Group for three years on strategy projects, covering various sectors such as social impact, media and advertising, large-scale economic development, and education.
El Jamal recently worked with a food-tech startup based in London on raising their Series A, has completed an internship with Mastercard London in Global Product Strategy and Go To Market for cross-border services, and is now exploring the startup world in fin-tech along with startup mentoring.
Rawan El Jamal has been an IEEE volunteer for the past eight years, focusing on student activities, young professionals, and entrepreneurship. She is now a member of Region 8 YP and is the chair of the Entrepreneurship Committee under Membership Activities in Region 8. El Jamal holds a BE in Computer Engineering from the American University of Beirut and is now pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration at the London Business School.
Rawan is a 2023-2024 Member-At-Large & the Africa, Europe Middle East Region Team Lead & the IEEE Entrepreneurship Awards Committee Chair on the 2024 IEEE Entrepreneurship Steering Committee.
