Biography
Rex Tan is the Chief Technology Officer of Aevice Health, a Singapore-based medical technology spin-off of Nanyang Technological university, which develops wearable technologies that aid in respiratory health care. The Aevice team spent three years building the company into a multi-award winning MedTech startup. Aevice Health has been recognized by IEEE as an IEEE N3XT® Star company for its technological advances and future potential, a crucial factor in helping the company clinch the Singapore Emerging Enterprise Award in 2018, an annual award recognizing top startups in Singapore amongst various other local and international awards.
Rex holds a joint university Ph.D. in photonics technology at Nanyang Technological University and the University of Southampton. He hopes to leave an indelible mark on the world by advancing science and technology through innovative research, science communication, and technopreneurship.
