Meet Eureka Robotics:
Eureka Robotics delivers robotic solutions and software to automate tasks that require high accuracy and high agility. Applications include (but are not limited to): handling, assembly, drilling, inspection.
The award-winning technology is based on the cutting-edge research in Robotics and AI conducted at CRI Group, NTU Singapore. Eureka Robotics is a spin-off company from NTU, supported by the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART).
Technology:
Eureka Robotics addresses High Accuracy – High Agility tasks through developing the following technologies:
- Fast and millimeter-precise localization: using 3D vision and tactile sensing, the system can locate multiple objects (of different categories) simultaneously present in the scene.
- Real-time motion planning: low computation time and optimized movement (speed and smoothness) of the robotic arm with no teaching required at set-up or when the environment changes.
- Control of contact forces: the system can stably and precisely regulate the contact forces that arise during manipulation or assembly to achieve tens-of-microns accuracy.
Eureka Robotics became an IEEE N3XT® Star at Slingshot 2019.
