Biography

Nicole Toomey Davis is a serial entrepreneur and the President, CEO and co-founder of Enclavix, LLC, an AI – based software company that creates online tools to accelerate innovation and entrepreneurship. Enclavix has launched the Machine Learning – powered VentureWrench Library found at VentureWrench.com, which is a free online library of curated startup resources to help entrepreneurs get quickly to success. The company has received over $1.2 million in funding from the National Science Foundation through the SBIR program to fund a portion of this work. Ms. Davis is the creator of several online courses, including “Designing the Perfect Investor – Raising Money for your Startup” with a vision to use technology to help coach large numbers of entrepreneurs effectively.

Ms. Davis is the former President, CEO and co-founder of DoBox, Inc., an award winning home networking and Family Firewall software company. Ms. Davis raised $2.6 million in investor funding for DoBox and led the company to a successful acquisition by Netopia, Inc. which was later acquired by Motorola.

Ms. Davis led Utah’s grant funding and mentoring program, the Centers of Excellence Program, to help university spinouts succeed and has served on many non-profit boards. She has received many recognitions from the community including the Utah Genius Lifetime Achievement Honoree award for 2018; Utah’s Governor’s Medal in Science and Technology for 2012; recognition as a member of the vSpring v|100, Top 100 Venture Entrepreneurs in Utah, 7 times; and the 2009 Community Builder award from the Women Tech Council.

Ms. Davis holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Brigham Young University and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Before pursuing her MBA, Ms. Davis worked for France Telecom for two years in New York. She is a published author, with textbook contributions, press articles and a published case study co-authored with Jim Collins to her credit. She is often called on to share her experiences as an entrepreneur and leader by serving as a speaker, teacher and coach.
