Meet REVIVO Biosystems:
Novel Microfluidic Skin-on-a-Chip Systems
REVIVO Biosystems provides integrated microfluidic systems for automated and efficient screening of chemicals, drugs and cosmetic products, and for disease studies, with the aim to transform the pre-clinical research market and make it scalable, personalized and ethical.
REVIVO Biosystems’ line of skin-on-chip products is based on novel microfluidic devices and complementary systems for integration of tissue explants or 3D cell cultures with automated testing procedures. Skin explants can be placed in or 3D skin cultures can be “grown-in” these organ-on-chip systems that mimic the function of blood flow and create a unique micro-environment so that real skin conditions and properties are established. Applications include and are not limited to safety and efficacy studies, such as skin permeation, skin irritation, and response to therapeutics. REVIVO offers a complete solution to their customers that includes the microfluidic devices, an automated testing platform and their skin models. REVIVO also provides toxicology and permeation testing, and develops new tissue models and customized disease models.
