Failing for Success: Lessons Learned in Innovation

NOTE: No registration is needed for this event!
Although part of TEMSCON, this session is open to the public.

This event is an IEEE N3XT® Affiliate Event, and will include a session that focuses on the role of innovation and entrepreneurship in science and engineering as it relates to the topic of the conference on the whole.

As companies innovate, their ability to implement new ideas and the speed at which they bring those ideas to market have become decisive factors to success or failure. Innovation and the product development processes that drives it can help a company achieve success or suffer poor returns on investment into otherwise innovative product concepts.Temscon Logo

In this seminar, we will hear case studies into the various phases of the innovation and product development and learn where they went wrong in the process that contributed to the product’s poor performance and demise in the marketplace. Other topics include ideation and innovation, feasibility, design, pricing as they relate to identifying risks in these projects.

Presenters at this seminar will reveal what were the factors that caused products to fail in the marketplace and share best practices and possibilities for improvement to achieve better results.

When carried out with precision, the product development process yields successful and profitable results. Variables such as innovation, speed to market, and pricing influence the product development process. Attendees with an interest in learning more and seeking insight into opportunities to improve their processes should attend this seminar.

By the end of the seminar, attendees will have gained a deeper understanding of the many aspects of product development and how to identify risks associated with failed products in order to help their companies bring the truly innovative products to market faster. Presenters will share best practices across a broad spectrum of product development topics in their case studies.
